* Re-sync calendars button. Added a new button under calendar settings that allows users to manually re-sync Mayday calendars with raw data from Google & Microsoft in the rare event that data does not match expectations.
* Multiple changes in succession. Implemented new change tracking logic that permits making multiple edits in succession without visually reverting any changes or temporarily displaying the events in the previous state.
* Edit calendar colors via calendar settings. Added the ability to edit your calendars directly under enabled calendar settings.

Bug fixes:
* Smart Tag automations. Fixed an issue where Smart Tag automation defaults (add buffer time, sync to other calendars, mark as FYI, etc.) weren’t applying to newly created events with that default Smart Tag.
* Empty calendars. Fixed an issue where when multiple new accounts were created in succession with highly dense calendars, it would take a few minutes for the initial calendar data to load into Mayday.
* Calendar shield writing duplicate blocks of protected time. Fixed a race condition edge case that could cause duplicate blocks of protected time to be written in Google and or Outlook when turning on Protected time.
* App hang. Fixed a few issues that could cause the app to hang, specifically around finding an ideal time when impossible requests are made, and on certain notification edge cases.
* Repeated confirmation messages. Fixed an issue where the confirmation message could be delivered to the user multiple times when editing RSVP status.
* Task tile icon overlap. Fixed an issue where the Flexible icon on tasks would sometimes overlap with the task title.
* Mark as Private toggle on events outside of Mayday. Events created in Google or Outlook and set to be marked as private were not showing the mark as private setting applied in Mayday.
* Editing weekly recurring events. Fixed a visual oddity where when editing a weekly recurring series of events, the saved state briefly renders as occurring every day before resolving as expected.
* Vanishing auto-rescheduled incomplete tasks. Fixed an issue where some tasks would temporarily vanish when auto-scheduling at the end of a day.
* Ideal time suggestions. Fixed an issue where suggested ideal times weren’t highlighted in green during the create event side panel flow.
* Event detail scroll view oddities. Fixed a few issues where the scroll view would shift when toggling on and manipulating settings for buffer time and other properties of the event details mini page.
* Event detail toggles and cancelled changes. Fixed an issue where toggles on the event details page weren’t reverting after the user clicks cancel on the make changes to recurring events modal.
* Saved recurring event visualization. Fixed an issue where on saving a new recurring event, the newly created event could vanish briefly before reappearing in the saved state.
* Calendar settings cleanup. Fixed a few visual oddities to clean up the display of enabled calendars under settings.

* Enhanced Auto-scheduling. Easily find time for tasks and meetings using Mayday’s auto-scheduling AI. When you select the “New” button or press ⌘+N on the keyboard, add your duration and timeframe requirements and Mayday’s AI will find the ideal time for whatever you’re trying to schedule. Simply click the More options button to add additional properties or to schedule manually as needed.
General improvements:
* Scheduling AI updates. Added new logic to the Mayday’s Scheduling AI to fallback to other time block types in the situation where no more availability exists in the requested time range.
* Side panel performance optimizations. A few optimizations were made around how the Mac side panel opens and closes in order to improve performance, specifically for calendars with dense schedules.
Bug fixes:
* Outlook accounts out of sync. Fixed an issue where an Outlook account could be disconnected by Microsoft without notice to the user in Mayday, causing the account in Mayday to come out of sync with Outlook.
* Crash fixes. Fixed a few edge cases that could result in a crashes, specifically when authenticating certain Outlook accounts.
* Auto-rescheduling flexible tasks. Fixed an issue where when conflicts were created between flexible tasks and other events/tasks, the existing flexible tasks would sometimes fail to reschedule.
* Auto-rescheduling around Calendar Shield. Fixed an issue where flexible tasks would fail to auto-reschedule for days when Calendar Shield protected time was turned on.
* Missing Zoom links on Outlook events. Fixed an issue where Outlook events created with Zoom links in Mayday were not updating the location field correctly for attendees.
* Outlook recurring event scheduling. Fixed an issue where Outlook weekly recurring events created in Mayday were writing to the wrong day.
* Duplicating Outlook events. Fixed an issue where creating new recurring Outlook events in Mayday would write duplicate instances to the timeline.
* Edit permissions on auto-generated events. Fixed an issue where events added to your calendar automatically by Gmail (flights, reservations, etc.) clearly reflect as read-only and non-editable in Mayday, as expected.
* Scheduling link locations. Fixed an issue where reusable Scheduling Links were not resetting the location field as previously provided by the guest.
* Scheduling link duplicate events. Fixed an issue where resulting events booked via certain Scheduling links would write duplicate events to the calendar.
* Smart Tag scheduling hours. Fixed an issue where the custom scheduling hours for a Smart Tag were not saving when editing from the side panel.
* Rapid event creation optimizations. Fixed an issue where creating an event and immediately attempting to edit it would create an error that would prevent the update updating in the calendar account.
* Mark as free. Fixed a variety of issues with the Mark as free toggle, specifically in that it wasn’t properly applying from the event details mini view and changes to recurring events in order to mark as free were reseting exceptions of the recurrence to their original times.
* Duplicate recurring events while editing. Fixed a visualization issue where child events in a recurring series would render in duplicate while edits to the series were being made.
* Month view visualization. Fixed a few visualization issues that optimizes how the timeline renders in Month view.
* Rescheduled task visualization. Fixed an issue where past tasks that were one-click rescheduled into the future were not updating visually to render as upcoming tasks.
* Success indicator failing to dismiss. Fixed an issue where the success indicator on the bottom of the timeline would fail to dismiss when carrying out multiple actions in succession.
* Icon alignment issues. Fixed an issue where the description icon wasn’t properly aligning as the field was updated.

* Month View. Access a month view for your schedule. Toggle to the new month view from the month picker and view your long term schedule at a glance. With the month view, you can quickly schedule new events at ideal times and drag and drop events/tasks between dates. Quickly toggle between views with keyboard shortcuts for month view ( ⌘+] ) and week view ( ⌘+[ ).
General improvements:
* Outlook data integrity resiliency. Added caching and additional resiliency to data streams from Outlook that could sometimes result in server timeouts (resulting in missing Outlook data, errors making changes to Outlook events, and failures to create Outlook events).
* Something went wrong notifications. Added new indicators that will let you know if an action failed to complete for some unexpected reason (i.e. networking issue, unexpected data anomaly, etc.) so that you can try again and the action won’t fail silently.
* Ideal time fallbacks. Improved logic behind ideal time suggestions to provide offer the next upcoming time in the requested timeframe when no possible ideal time can be found.
* Previews when dragging tasks from list to timeline. When dragging a task from your side panel task list to a dedicated location on the timeline, you can now visually see a preview of where the task will be scheduled.
Bug fixes:
* Ideal time overriding manual date/time. Fixed an issue where the ideal time engine could attempt to override a manual user defined selection for date and time, specifically when scheduling outside of user defined work hours more than 2 weeks in the future.
* Ideal times outside of scheduling hours. Fixed an issue where the ideal time engine could sometimes suggest an ideal time outside of user defined scheduling hours.
* Attendee availability. Fixed an issue where attendee availability wasn’t always displaying for the entire timeframe being viewed on the timeline.
* Editing recurring exception events. Added a fix to prevent attempting to apply a change to all events in a recurrence when making an edit to a one-off modified instance of a series.
* Recurring tasks marked as free. Fixed an issue where recurring tasks couldn’t be toggled to not be marked as free.
* Textfield glitches on Monterey. Fixed an issue where typing in the add description and add location textfields on the event creation/editing side panel would visually glitch for Monterey users.
* Crash fixes. Added a few additional fixes for crashes related to accessing the real-time database.
* Missing Outlook data. Fixed an issue where Outlook data could fail to parse and therefore vanish from the timeline when Skype conference location URLs were included.
* Ideal time lookups. Fixed an issue when toggling between different time frame selections during event creation where ‘Today’ wasn’t being considered when switching from ‘Next week’
* Autoscheduling around Calendar Shield. Fixed an issue where the autoscheduling service would fail to run correctly on days where the user has protected time with Calendar Shield.
* Recurring event visualization. Fixed a few issues around how WIP recurring events render on the timeline to streamline the flow from WIP to saved events.
* Custom scheduling hours reverting to default. Fixed an edge case where user defined custom scheduling hours reset to Mayday defaults.
* Recurring events with additional attendees. Fixed an issue where guests invited to single instances of a recurring event would not receive an email inviting them to confirm RSVP.

* One-click Reschedule for Tasks. Quickly reschedule tasks and events without attendees to new ideal times using one-click reschedule. Either right click the event/task you’d like to move, or click the new Reschedule button on an event tile to easily restructure your day as priorities change. * Ideal Time Engine. A refactor to the AI engine that identifies Ideal Times for new events and tasks was made to account for many more new variables and significantly improve Ideal Time suggestions. This enhanced Ideal Time engine will find better times to suggest working on tasks or meeting with others based off of improved learnings from past scheduling behaviour as well as the unique attributes of what you’re trying to schedule.
* Wake and Sleep settings. A new user setting for defining wake and sleep habits was added in order to obtain a better understanding of your unique chronological rhythms for productivity. Set your wake and sleep routine under Settings > Scheduling Hours > Wake and Sleep.
* Onboarding updates. Reworked new user onboarding to streamline account creation.
* Account authorization in browser. Added new functionality to enable the authentication of a calendar account provider to take place within a browser, if required.
* Edit event/task previews. Added a new timeline visualization to display an event/task original location on the timeline while that event/task is being edited to move to a new time.
* Right click options on task list. Added new right click options for tasks in the task list side panel in order to quickly edit and make modifications.
Bug fixes:
* Crash fixes. Fixed a few scenarios that were resulting in crashes on loading the timeline.
* Server timeouts. Fixed an intermittent issue and added additional resiliency to prevent timeouts (which resulted in failed edits to events among other data inconsistencies)
* Duplicate synced events. Fixed an issue that could cause mirrored versions of synced events to appear in duplicate.
* Duplicate recurring events. Fixed a race condition that would sometime result in duplicate instances of recurring events after the organizer makes an edit to only this event.

* Smart Tag suggestions for Outlook calendars. Fixed a visualization issue where suggested Smart Tags for new Outlook calendars could display in white and be difficult to see.

* AI-scheduled Flexible Tasks. Create flexible tasks and let Mayday help you make sure you get them done. Flexible tasks are indicated with a shuffle icon on the timeline and will currently reschedule automatically to new ideal times under two different scenarios:
* Auto-rescheduling based on Conflicts - As soon as another item in your timeline overlaps with a flexible Task, the existing flexible Task will reschedule to a new ideal time.
* Auto-rescheduling when Incomplete from Yesterday - Flexible and incomplete tasks from the previous day will automatically reschedule to new ideal times to make sure you have time to get things done. A setting for turning on/off auto-rescheduling of yesterday’s incomplete tasks can be managed under Settings > Task Defaults.
* Outlook Access for all. Outlook support for Mayday is now available for all beta testers. Connect as many Outlook accounts as you need alongside your existing Google calendar accounts and manage all of your calendars in one place.
General improvements:
* UI performance updates. Refactored some frontend components in the side panel to optimize the speed and responsiveness of the UI.
* Task side panel UI. Updates to the Task side panel to add a dedicated edit button, additional hover states, and improved UX around managing incomplete tasks and quick entry of new tasks.
* Time window logic. Improved the task/event creation logic around time frames, to restructure around ranges for ‘Today’, ‘This Week’, ‘Next Week’, and ‘Future’.
* Right click functionality. Right click functionality on Mac to access quick options for managing tasks and events on your timeline.
* Flexible task behaviour. Added logic to intuitively manage flexible tasks, so if you manually define the start/end time for a task, the flexible status turns off by default.
* Recurring Task management. Added new logic to assume any changes in completion state for recurring tasks are applied ‘only to this task’.
* Conference deeplinks. Updated logic so that conference links redirect to native conferencing apps when available (i.e. for Google Meet, Microsoft Teams specifically).

New features:
* Tasks for Mayday. Task management in Mayday is here. With the new Task side panel, you can quickly schedule one off or recurring tasks within different intervals. When you add a new Task, Mayday will schedule it in your calendar at an ideal time to help you make space for the things that matter.
* Mark as Private. Any Event or Task can now be Marked as Private. This means that anyone who has access to view your calendar will see that you’re unavailable at the times where you have private events/tasks, but they won’t see any of the defining details (event title, attendees, description, location).
* Default settings for Tasks and Events. New settings pages give you the ability to customize the defaults that Mayday applies when you create a new event or task - these include defaults for write-to calendar, Smart Tag, duration, conferencing, mark as free, and mark as private.
General improvements:
* Ideal Times. Changes to the machine learning model for how Mayday identifies ideal times have been made that will enable more refined training in the future based on distinctions between events and tasks.
* Event/Task side panel. The side panel when creating new tasks and events in Mayday has been refactored to improve the UI. A new toggle at the top has been added to transition between creating an event and creating a task. In addition, some new attributes were added which include: scheduling based on duration, ideal time identification based on timeframes (today, tomorrow, this week, future).
* Task shortcuts. New shortcuts were added for creating tasks quickly in Mayday. ⌘⇧N to open the New Task side panel, while just ⌘N opens the New Event side panel. Or simply hold shift while you click and drag on the timeline to create a new task manually.
* Event/Task Importance. Changes to importance now let you mark events/tasks on a 4-point scale of importance (low to very high) as a way to inform the ideal time selection engine.
* Sync events mirroring. Changes to how you can sync events across different calendars now ensure synced copies of events are always marked as private in the synced calendar by default.
* Microsoft Teams conferencing support. Added functionality to support Microsoft Teams as conference objects from Outlook events.
Bug fixes:
* Crash fixes. Multiple optimizations to threading were added in order to reduce crash risks.
* Notifications. Fixed an issue that prevented event starting soon notifications from being delivered to Mac and iOS.
* Calendar Shield Autoprotect. Fixed an issue where autoprotect wouldn’t turn on Calendar Shield when a given day’s meeting density exceeded the user’s defined meeting threshold.
* Scheduling Link duplicate slots. Fixed an issue that could sometimes cause Scheduling Links to offer duplicate slots to guests.
* Editing Scheduling Links. Fixed an issue where changes made to existing Scheduling Links weren’t updating.
* Recurring event fixes. Fixed multiple issues that were creating UI oddities when making one-off edits to events from a recurring series.
* Smart Tag color changes. Fixed an issue that prevented making changes to Smart Tag colors.

* Start of the week settings. Added new functionality under settings that allows users to define the day to be recognized as the start of the week. Head to Settings > General > Start week on to define your preferred start of the week.
* Event tile styling. Updated the styling for event tiles on the timeline to better articulate certain event details at a glance - specifically RSVP status, free/busy status, and buffer time - as well as indicating visually when all attendees for an event have declined attendance.
* Network connectivity failsafes. Added logic to prevent new events from being saved when there is a disruption in network connectivity.
Bug fixes:
* Ideal time override. Fixed an issue where ideal time suggestions were overriding manually defined times set using the date/time picker during new event creation.
* Recurring FYI events. Fixed an issue where changing a recurring series to mark as FYI and applying to all can cause past instances of the event to briefly vanish and require a re-render on the timeline to reappear.

* Calendar Shield density updates. Fixed an issue where daily meeting density required a re-render of the week view before updating after a new meeting was added to a day.
* Password error state. Updated the account creation flow to provide clearer feedback to new users when their password doesn’t meet Mayday’s password requirements.
* Ideal time conflicts. Fixed an issue that could result in suggested ideal times that would create a conflict with certain other users.
* Ideal time inconsistency. Fixed an issue where the same Ideal Time request on Mac and iOS could sometimes return a slightly different result.
